PADDLEBOARDS

For the last three years Supersession has been developing a range of paddleboards for surf rescue and surf life saving competition.

Initially working with national junior champ Vaughan Skiffington and Damian Malloy from the Muriwai club we concentrated on a strong race weight laminate.

Vaughan won the under 19 board race and board rescue national titles in 1996-97 and since some of the top paddlers in the country have switched to our boards.

We currently have two laminate options: A wood veneer bottom and carbon reinforced deck for competition and club use (7.5 kgs) and a full carbon competition model that weighs in at just 7.0 kgs.

Wood Veneer Model $1800

PADDLE SKI RESCUE/RECREATIONAL

12'6" X 25" X 6"

The paddleski is primarily designed as a versitile utility rescue board for surf lifesaving clubs. This board is also becoming really popular as a recreation board for surfing, flat water paddling, or a spot of fishing. It is very easy to use and can be customised to either professional, or family use. The ski is constructed using a polystyrine foam core with a centre 3 ply stringer, 16oz epoxy glass laminate reinforced in the stress areas. It also has a removable box fin.

Standard Glass Model $2500

WINDSURFERS

The Supersession team also have a wealth of experience building high performance windsurfing boards which have been ridden by some of New Zealand and the world's top sailors (Josh Stone rode them until F2 offered him too much money).

At present the biggest selling board is this freeride - wave slalom, call it what you will. It's the board for sailors who enjoy both flatwater and waves.

With a high carbon content dinvinycel sandwich laminate, this board won't go soft or self distruct under heavy jumping like some high priced production numbers are prone to do. It's also lighter than most at just 7 kg.
